  • As the first in-house writer, helped management define the role, piloted and iterated on workflow and onboarding practices, and assisted in training subsequent hires.

  • Pitch, write, and strategize in a variety of story forms — from full multi-product reviews to trending news analysis, and resource blog content. Creatively coordinate with design, SEO, and social media marketing teams to repackage content for multiple channels.

  • Master a wide range of subjects (from Nerf Guns to Microwaves, Solar Panels to Home Security Systems), by conducting research, analyzing the audience, interviewing experts, and personally testing product.

  • In the first month, wrote what would become three of the company’s highest-value verticals, and continued to own high-volume spaces over my tenure. More specifically, rewrote our high-profit Homeowners Insurance page to earn a 34% increase in revenue (earning $150k monthly), and a 40% increase in impressions

  • Led an email newsletter initiative to engage with our readers in a more creative medium. Collaborated with Art Director to execute vision and with analytics team to test and revise. Resulted in engagement rates that exceed industry average.
